You’ve come a long way baby!
February 27th, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

I remember seeing those ads for cigarette (in the national enquirer) when I was younger. A woman with a long-ass cigarette in her hand with the caption. I think it was in the Spring of last year I came across a video on youtube of this English fella (twisted teeth and all) who was on one of those “talent search / reality) programs. BLOWN AWAY! Yup.. this fella really had pipes!

Fast forward to Jan 2008 and there I was reading the latest (dr office standard of latest) issue of Readers Digest while I waited to get my weekly allergy shot and there was the same fella again. I guess… in less than a year he’d become a traveling superstar!

Take a peek/listen.. Paul Potts

There’s no better motivation.
February 25th, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

Same time last week I had just finished making my morning cup of tea and was heading down to the pool. Big difference today… I’ve already scanned the news sites, answered a few emails and making a list of things I need to get completed today. Oh yea! I did make my cup of tea :)

As I peer through my office window I can see the trees being whipped around by the wind and I can only imagine how cold it is out there today. We’ve not seen the lawn since early January, since it’s been snow storm after snow storm. To be quite honest, I’ve had enough and it’s time for change.

I’ll tell you, nothing beats waking up early and going for a swim. It’s even better than a hot tub, since you still have to get out of the tub and hit the freezing temps as you work your way back into the house. Our recent trip revealed to me that I want more. I want to wake up and go swimming in the morning, I don’t want to limit my outdoor activities according to seasons… I want some of the wealth and prosperity I saw around me.

I’ve now made a long term to-do list, something I’ve never done before. An action plan to get me where I want to be within the next 8 months! There’s no better motivation than seeing and doing what you want, even for a brief moment.

Enjoy the day!

Would you like to work from home on a pat-time basis?
February 24th, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

I’ve decided to hire a personal assistant to take away some of the work that’s chewing up my time. This is a full telecommute job, so everything is done from your home office. Providing you have the necessary equipment and dedication. As mentioned in previous posts, working from home is not as easy as it may seem.

Full details about this vacant work from home job, can be found at: VIRTUAL ASSISTANT NEEDED!
Please pay attention to everything that’s mentioned in the job post, since I need someone who can pay attention to details and follow through.

Give your ‘gray matter’ even more of a boost.

work from home brain food

Foods to boost your brain power

* Antioxidants: Foods and supplements containing antioxidants (e.g., omega-3 fatty acids, phytochemicals, catechins) could boost your brain health and longevity. Omega-3 fatty acids found in many kinds of seafood, including salmon, halibut, scallops, have been linked to reduced brain inflammation and nerve cell regeneration. Not into seafood? Antioxidants can be found in less fishy sources, too: darkly coloured vegetables and fruits contain phytochemicals (blueberries, in particular), and green tea is packed with catechins.

* B vitamins: B is for brain, that’s for sure. The B family of vitamins is a rich source of food for the nervous system. The messages our brain sends back and forth between our nerves depend on B-complex vitamins, especially folic acid, vitamin B6, and choline. Finding foods full of B-complex vitamins isn’t too hard. Folic acid can be found in dark greens, including spinach, asparagus, romaine lettuce, and turnip or mustard greens. Loads of beans contain folic acid, too. Try black, garbanzo, or pinto for a folic acid feast. Crack an egg for choline: egg yolks contain this B-vitamin in abundance. Other sources include soybeans, peanut butter, potatoes, or whole wheat bread.

* Iron: Iron helps our blood supply oxygen to our body. Deficiencies in iron have been associated with ADHD, learning disabilities, and lowered IQ. It stands to reason, then, that our reasoning skills could benefit from foods that contain iron. Find iron in foods like spinach, blackstrap molasses, lentils, tofu, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.

* Vitamin E: Some stave off mental decline with a daily crossword or Sudoku puzzle. Foods with vitamin E could keep you sharp, too! Vitamin E, especially taken along with vitamin C, has been linked to reduced cognitive decline with aging. Take note of vitamin E-rich foods: mustard and turnip greens, spinach, and broccoli. And if green is not your colour, you can pop sunflower seeds, almonds, or olives for a dose of vitamin E.

Do you have a business or product you’d like to grow?
February 8th, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

The past 3 months have seen many changes in my online business. I’ve trashed all the websites that were not making me any money, streamlined that ones that are and I’ve stop promoting any affiliate programs that’s not paying me. You know… the ones that you send tons of traffic to and they convert pennies!

I’m looking for the right product or business to promote within my network. I have several good ranking websites and an ezine dedicated to working from home with close to 30,000 readers.  If you or someone you know is looking for a business partner to join forces to grow a business, please contact me with details. My readers have shown great trust in me, so whenever I introduce them to something via my ezine it converts very well. Tell me about your business and what I can get out of it. I won’t BS you… I’m in this for the money!
