How I got over 8000 hits to my website from a vacation video.
March 17th, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

In my last post I asked if you were using viral videos to help promote your website or businesses. Yes, you can do the same for traditional brick and mortar businesses as well. Below is an example of a video I did after one of of previous cruises. I wonder which website I was hoping to attract viewers to?

If you look at the view count on this video you’ll see that it was already viewed by over 8200 people. That’s 8200 people who saw the url to my website. You’ll also notice that there were some websites already linking to my video. More viewers to come!

Why not do the same for your website or business? Remember to play around with the description and tags when uploading your video to the video sharing websites. This way the people you’re targeting will be able to find you video.

Finally… this is just one video sharing website that I uploaded the video to. We all know that there are hundreds more :)

How to make over $850,000 in 4 months, using your computer at home.
March 16th, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

I’m always amazed by the claims you see on those ads for making money on the internet and working from home. Tonight as I rummage through blogs looking for new ideas for online income sources (no better place than blogs to get a glimpse into what others in your field are doing), since TV sucks. Blame the recently ended writers strike, the plague of reality shows or the fact that TV just sucks!

I came across a video that lead me to a blog posting that was impressive. BTW, are you using viral videos on youtube etc to drive traffic to your websites? Why not? After hitting yourself a few times across the head, get cracking on some videos. It was the blog by a fella called Zac Johnson and it’s called “Inside The Secret Life Of A Super Affiliate”. Zac old-boy, claims to have made over $850,000 in 4 months. BS? Well, that’s what many of you would think, but since I’ve been doing this affiliate thing for the past 7+ years, I know anything is possible. Shoot, my best month with one company was over $11,000…. aahh the good old days!

Back to Zac and his claim…

As I read through his post I was simply amazed. Right in front of me, if I had any doubts… was proof.

Take a peek at how someone makes over $860,000 in four months.

BTW..don’t you just love the way Zac included links (sign-up) to all the affiliate programs he’s affiliated with? Nice and smooth!

Who wants to be a virtual assistant?
March 14th, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

hiring homeworkers About 2 weeks ago I posted an ad for a virtual worker and I’d like to update everyone who applied on their application status. Within 48 hours of posting the help wanted ad, I received over 1500 (yes, you read correct, fifteen hundred) applications. However, I’d say about 40% of them were deleted immediately. WHY? I hate people who can’t follow a little bit of direction. I asked all applicants to 2 two things when they apply. 1. Don’t send any attachments and 2. Please put a certain phrase in the subject of the email.

How can I expect you to work with me if you cannot follow directions? So I had no choice to delete them without hesitation. Though I’ve now had time to go through all the applications that survived my “delete” button, I’m leaving the position opens for another 48hrs. If you know you didn’t follow my directions the first time, here’s another chance to show that you can. So for the next 48hrs you can still apply…click on the link below for full details about the position.

We Need a Virtual Assitant.

FREELANCE WRITER NEEDED!

We’re also in the need for a freelance writer. The details of this newly posted job is can be found here : Freelance Writer Needed! This vacancy was only just posted, so there’s a good chance you can be the first applicant :)

We’d like to thank all applicants. Please note that we will not accept any phone calls for information about these positions at this time. Anyone we’re interested in speaking with further will be contacted. Good luck!

What do, John Chow, Mike Henry and I have in common?
March 13th, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

It’s amazing how the Internet is helping many of us make a living. Some more so than the others… with their mega affiliate cheques they cash in each month. There are no boundaries at this point and you’re only limited as you make it. I was reading John Chow’s blog this morning and came across a guest post by a fella called Mike Henry and how he’s using an event and his love for blogging to generate income. I guess he’s coping what another fella did about 4 years ago.

Basically Mike is traveling in China and blogging about everything to do with the upcoming Summer Olympics in Beijing and making money by placing affiliate ads on his blog. I’m sure you’re probably thinking what event you can jump on and start blogging :) Hey, I’m already considering doing one on the next world cup of soccer in 2010, in South Africa. I love football, want to travel to SA and if it means extra income - SIGN ME UP!
Here’s the post on John Chow’s blog about Mike Henry

Here’s Mike Henry’s  Blog about the 2008 Summer Olympics.

So what do we all have in common? We find ways to make money on the internet, from where ever we choose, doing what we like! There are no limits!

Is Derek Gehl full of hot air… “How to Turn $200 Into $1000″?
March 12th, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

The one constant I’ve noticed over the years on the internet is, all these supposed Internet Marketing Gurus wanting to share the secret to making millions. Day after day you’re hounded with ads by some “guru” who wants to show you how simple it is to not just make money, but do so while sitting by a pool with your laptop and the beverage of your choice at your side. Sign-up now and I’ll share with you my winning secret to earn an amazing amount of cash - My easy to follow, step by step program. I’ll hold you by the hand. So simple a 3rd grader can do it. No experience necessary! Talk about hogwash!

Yea.. you’ve made so much money, but you’re still trying to sell this $97 ebook to me. Wait, you’ve included some bonuses so I should steal the wife’s credit card and get cracking on this! Well, if I had made millions and had a secret clear-cut plan on doing it… I’d beat that sucka till the banks were refusing my deposits. Why would I want to share? If I had the means of making such cash, why would I reduce myself to selling a “how it’s done” ebook?

Don’t get me wrong. Not everyone peddling information is full of hype and lives to hear people suggest they’re a guru. There are the hard workers, who actually loves the business they’re in and actually preach a good sermon and not constantly hounding you like a dog in heat to get you to buy something. A couple days ago I was reading an interesting article/blog post by Derek Gehl and it hit home. How to Turn $200 Into $1000 This fella makes a lot of sense in this post and I thought I’d share it with you. After-all, who wouldn’t want to Turn $200 Into $1000?

So who are the people I’d classify as true Internet Gurus?  Ahhh.. you’ll have to buy my ebook to find out :)
