So you’re finding that you never have enough time to get what you had set out to accomplish when you first turned on your computer in the morning. Maybe you’re guilty of spending too much time …
- chatting with friends on instant messaging
- watching videos on YouTube and other video sharing websites
- posting in forums
- how about social networking websites like facebook etc?
- online news sites
- reading blogs (like this one) and micro blogs on Twitter
Sure keeping up with the latest news is important, sharing ideas on forums contributes to the community and can help build back links to your online properties and no one is saying don’t chat with friends or enjoy the latest funny videos on YouTube. Create a schedule and stick to it. But remember to leave time for the other things you enjoy doing online, so you have designated time to “waste”.
It took me a while to fully understand this, but time is our most important asset and, as a result, we have to be extremely selective when it comes to the activities we spend time on.
