This one I learned soon in the game from master marketer David Ledoux. Create a “swipe file”. What’s a freaking swipe file you’re probably wondering? Here’s how my swipe file works…

Basically 2 sections..

Section 1. Bookmarks!

Since I’m now focusing on affiliate marketing and PPC campaigns, one of the things I pay attention to is landing pages. Whenever I come across a page that I feel is good, I bookmark it so I can refer back to it, when I’m creating landing pages to use in a campaign. Same goes for blog templates I like, I bookmark them so when it’s time to launch a new blog I have ideas on format to refer to.

There are times I come across cool tools, or training videos or books, maybe it’s a resource I’ll need in the future or my competition’s websites.. yup. I bookmark them into a section call “swipe”!

Section 2 - Word Doc. - write things down.

I created a word doc, could be a simple text file that I update with anything I feel I could use in the future. Maybe it’s a great sales pitch I received from a marketer via email, or a text ad I came across while on Google or tips I found on a forum/discussion group. Hey! I even have one with spam email subject lines. Makes for a good laugh when you go though them after a while.
