Have you seen the different Team Writer Sites? You know, the ones that take writing orders online and then have the appropriate writer or writers fill the order. Maybe it’s me, but I’ve noticed a lot of them lately.
After some research, I’ve decided that I like team writer sites. The sites get the projects without my having to go on a three hour hunt to find them. Not only that, but there’s no bidding involved, just accepting a job or not. Simple, quick and easy.
Although these sites have some variances in their payment structure and writing standards, all writers are welcome to sign up and have their name added to the pool of available wordsmiths. Some use a screening process to make sure they are using only those who are capable of writing well, others don’t bother.
I’m going to list a few sites for you to check, if you’re so inclined, making note of what I know or have heard about each site. Please, if you have any information or experience with any of these sites, let us know. As a community, writers working online can help each other avoid some bad and costly affiliations.
ProCW - The name is short for Professional Content Writers. I view this one as a ground floor opportunity. It’s brand-spanking new and is due to launch in Beta testing this week. That’s right, you have advance notice. ProCW’s prices to their buyers are higher than a lot of the article mill sites, and they offer a full range of writing services, with a focus on quality. Writers get paid more than half of the selling price, so a submitted resume and clip is required to ensure their stable of writers are all top-notch. Payments will be made via PayPal once the article is approved. Although they haven’t officially launched (therefore have not drummed up business), they are accepting submissions to get ready for their opening later this week.
WordHire - I have done a bit of work with this site, as I was part of the beta testing group. Whenever there are jobs, they are listed in the writer’s section of the site. You pick out the article you want to write and reserve that topic. You have 24 hours from that time to turn in completed work. It’s an easy $ .02 per word, and they will pay up to 10% for any amount you write over the requested word count. Trouble is, the jobs are few and far between. You have to check back often to find available titles before they’re snatched up. There is no preamble to working with WordHire, you just sign up and start writing. Your article is then approved or rejected. Payment is made by cheque or PayPal (your choice) every Monday. This week, for the first time, I received my money via an e-cheque to PayPal. What that means, is that I have to wait for the cheque to clear on the other end before I have access to the funds. I’ve not run into this before here, so I’m not sure what it’s about.
EditFast - This one falls under the heading of fast cash. You write an article about the site using one of their focuses or keywords and they pay you $10. It can be a short 250 words, and if you write quickly it could be a really easy gig. I have not worked with these people, nor do I know anyone that has, so I’m looking forward to hearing from those of you who have some knowledge about this site. Meantime, I think it’s worth having a closer look at.
Okay, that’s it for today. I may do another posting on this in future if I find some more sites that I deem good enough to be shareable. Until then, make the most of these Fast Money and Team Writer Sites.
Another great contribution by Shirley Anderson.
