I was reading David’s blog at www.didyousmellthat.com this morning and it got me thinking. If I had the chance to take another vacation, where or what would I like to do? We’ve done the sit by the beach on a resort thing, we’ve done the graze at the buffet on some of the largest cruise ships ever built, we been to pretty much all the islands in the Caribbean and I’ve been to Europe. So what kind of vacation would I like to try? Probably something packed with fun and a bit daring (take a break from the beach). When we were in Antigua last winter we took a tour of the island which took us pass where they were setting up a zip line. It left an impression on me. I should have asked the driver to stop so I could give it a try. Mind-you it was a pretty basic zip-line.

Kieana, our eldest daughter caught me by surprise a couple months ago when she blurted out that she’d like to go to Alaska. ALASKA? All the while whenever the topic of going to Alaska came up, I was pretty much alone and voted out! So now with some backing, this may be possible. Then this morning I found the coolest video on youtube. YEP! Supposedly the longest zip line in the world and it’s in Alaska. More reason to take a trip up there:

As I poked around Youtube I found another one, which claims to be the world’s fastest zipline in the world. And get this..it’s in South Africa, the home of the next world cup! Yet another reason to go…
