Further to my post about the email I received from Angela Penbrook.
April 1st, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

It’s now been about 13hrs since I made the post about and Angela Penbrook’s
story and a link back to her website. I’ve decided not to waste anymore of my
time on Angela Penbrook, so I’ll share some of the comments we received
after the post went live.

You said you googled?? Did you read anything or just look at a pretty picture? This whole
thing with her is a scam, or at least a bait and switch from the get go. Go back and do
some more googleing and find out the REAL story behind this “artist”, I think your eyes,
will be opened. Check RipOffReport as well. I’m shocked your are advocating her!!

If you are going to post a scam that is ashame especially when the BBB gave Angela’s
Business an F http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Business/CompanyReportExtension
Page.aspx?CompanyID=100063903&sm=#ComplaintExperience

You may want to post that on your website as well if you are trying to provide honest
WAH opportunities then this site I am disappointed to say is not legit!! Others should know!!!

Comment: I am beginning to think it is a front for businesses that would like to part a
fool from his/her money. Did anyone get a data entry job after filling out required
email? Or is it more of this type of story.. click… pay for the “ONLY” certified “fill in
the blank”????

Crikey, Chris!
Youi’ve got a credibility rating with your public. Be cautious with it! I nearly went for the $197 experiment, reasons that you seemed to okay the outfit and the claim that I’d be earning money in minutes with no hitch, and the money-back guarantee.
I trust that once the experience turned in a different direction than advertised, my cautions would have kicked in and I’d have asked for the refund.
But I gave myself an exception to the “If it sounds too good to be true….” rule on YOUR apparent recommendation.

The proof of your credibility, of course, is that 13 hours later you clearly let everyone know what you had stepped in, for which I thank you.

A suggestion: should there be a next time, pony up the $197 and see what happens to you, first.
Or check the Ripoff Report.
Or remember that if it looks too good to be true…..

Continued best regards,
Dennis

I don’t know why you deleted my comment about the Angela Penbrook story. I personally thought it was an April fool’s joke.

Chris here.. when I deleted the original post everything associated with it was deleted. Nothing personal… keep adding your comments, it will help this work from home community become more vibrant.

Just to add to your comments about Angela Penbrook. I brought the program, supposedly with a 90 day guarantee. You are not handling rebates for well known companies, you are marketing for Clickbank, except that you offer rebates in your ads, and as the program tries to say, people will click on your ads if you offer them something off the price. So if you make $15.00 commission, much of that, about $8.00 is sent back to the customer, that is the rebate processing. If someone returns the product, clickbank cheerfully refunds the money, but what happens with the rebate? I read on another forum that clickbank does not allow this as it causes them accounting nightmares. It’s all very questionable, and when I found some part time work outside my home, I decided I could not do this work.
But when I went to ask for my funds back with the 90 day guarantee, there was absolutely no response to emails, no answers with the telephone # provided, nothing!!
I am not alone, there are many, many in my shoes, but I was fortunate enough to have all my proof of purchases, emails, etc, and I refuted it with my credit card company, and they refunded my $197.. Others, many others, have not been so fortunate. This is a scam and I am ashamed to admit I was taken in by it, and I thought I was pretty savvy about this type of thing. Lesson learned well!!! Don’t want to see anyone else lose their hard earned money. Angela Penbrook is aka Angel Stevens.

I too was a sucker in this scam. I have been trying since March 10th to get my money back from them and I have been promised 3 times that it was coming. The other 10 times I called, I was told they were having computer glitches and that was what was holding up my refund. I don’t know what else to do to get it back, but I don’t want anyone else to be sucked in the way I did. I only wish I would have found this website first.
