May 7th, 2008 at 9:25 am Chris, Thanks for wanting to include me in your daughter’s fund raiser. I can post it in my blog, but I personally don’t have it right now to give any money. My mom has an operation coming up, my brother is out of work because of his back, and I’m not making enough money yet from my writing to even help them. I hope you can forgive me for not being able to contribute, but I will be happy to pass on the information for someone who might be.

May 7th, 2008 at 1:19 pm Thanks for everyone who’s been able to donate for the cause. I/we fully understand that not everyone can afford to give, even though they may have a desire to do so. Your words of encouragement will surely motivate Tehya and many others like her who would like to make a difference. It’s amazing how adults can be so negative when a primary school child is trying to help do some good. Same ones who would probably complain that kids today are no-good.
For those of you who chose to complain (notice I didn’t delete your comments) I do apologize for whatever wrong you felt I did to you. The same effort you took to complain could have been used to send some positive thoughts.
Again, a special thanks to everyone for your donation and supporting messages.
regards
Chris
p.s. Good luck to everyone who’s unemployed or just making ends meet. I’m sure luck will come your way soon enough. Keep smiling.

May 7th, 2008 at 2:57 pm Dear Chris,
I applaud your daughters efforts to raise funds for those in need. Unfortunately, at this time, there are more people in need than ever before. As I’ve read other messages above, I too do not have a job, some days I think, “I’m in need, they should have a fundraiser for me!”. All kidding aside, in my heart and soul, I pray for each and every one of us who is suffering during these difficult times, and all we can do is hope that there will be brighter days ahead for all of us.

May 8th, 2008 at 1:53 am Hi Chris,
I appreciate your daughter’s efforts in raising funds for a great cause. Unfortunately, I am not able to sponsor Tehya or donate any amount at this time. The reason is that I myself is working with an HIV/Aids organization and am already donated what I could for their fund raising walk last Sunday. The organization I am working with has an ongoing fund raising ways and I do participate whenever it is affordable for me.
Good luck to Tehya! Keep it up

May 8th, 2008 at 5:58 am Unfortunately reading what the others are saying it saddens my heart to know that if adults feel this way, what are teaching our chilkdren? Even though at this time we cannot afford to help monetarily we can send our prayers and perform volunteer work (which only takes a little time out of busy schedules…) So my family and I will do what we can to help support your daughter. Just remember what goes around comes around- it is very true.

May 9th, 2008 at 1:29 am I subscribed here for a job. Please I am an African also looking for funds to supports my aids orphans in Africa.
Stan Says:
May 9th, 2008 at 4:12 am Living in Africa I can only say thank you, to the people who support your daughter, those who dont have to give may you be blessed; and thank you to to the volunteer workers who come here to help, maybe they realise that HIV/Aids affects the whole world not just Africa, however in Africa, where more often than not, children are left orphaned to look after other children because of Aids, even in South Africa, this is becoming more common, it is much worse in the rest of Africa.

May 9th, 2008 at 5:58 am Hey Chris, I must say that your daughter is doing a wonderful thing. I will keep her in my prayers so that she can fulfill her fund raising goal and her effort will be rewarded. I would have really loved to donate even a dollar to her but unfortunately i dont have access to the electronic transfer method, but since I am in Africa, I will donate something to the AIDS organizations on her name. Be blessed
