Another long day. Time to hire another virtual assistant.
April 21st, 2008 by Chris De La Rosa

Just kidding! It’s been another long day for me, but I’m quite thankful for the help I’m getting with my VA. It’s about 11pm here in Southern Ontario and besides running around most of the day, I’ve been working on this computer for the past 6hrs or so. So I’m beat! Maybe I’ll go out to the hot tub for a 5, then hit the sacks. Let me see if I can find a pic on this camera of the hot tub to show you how inviting it can be. It’s about 12 C outside and the tub is set at 38.5 C.. yup I’m heading out there now.

What was the point of this post? See below the pic…

I am a graphic designer looking to work at home. I have 8 years of experience working as a Sr. Graphic Designer / Short Course Coordinator for a International Scientific Company. I am experienced in print design, basic web design, and interactive multimedia design using Director 8. Do you know anyone that may be interested in my qualifications?

Chris here- Dayna, off-hand I don’t know anyone in need of your skills. However, I’ll keep you in mind if associates or the employers we’re in contact ever mention the need for a graphic designer. All the best with your search for a work from home opportunity. BTW, have you ever tried looking for freelance projects on Elance.com or rentacoder.com?

Thanks for the info. I have tried Guru.com and it is hard with fewer jobs then designers, not to mention the design firms bidding as well. But thanks I will Keep looking.

As I’m not a virtual assistant, I would welcome the opportunity at giving the position a shot. I believe I would probably do pretty well at it but my skills are centered mainly around having 15 years in customer service and retail, as well as having an associate’s degree in business. I will have my bachelor’s next year in business and marketing, so given my education…business and marketing would also be my focus for a position. I would love to find employment from my own home. Does anyone know where I can look for this?

Thanks,
Chelsey
